Children today are being exposed to a "sex-crisis" in unprecedented ways. With the spread of the computers and cellular phones, children can now easily access indecent websites and images. Popular women's magazines overflow with skin-baring fashions and continue to control girls minds with a message underlining the essentiality of "looking sexy". Pre-marital sex has become the norm and the fury of this trend can be seen by the entrance of the word "dekichatta kon" [pregnant weddings] into the Japanese dictionary. Parents cannot be indifferent to these problems. Without ethically informed sex, children will be both psychologically and physically hurt, and hindered in future efforts to build a healthy family. This seminar which is indispensable for the young, will make "True Sex Education", its theme, and will consider ways to help young adults protect themselves from the temptations and perils of sex. Without doubt the most important foundation for parenting is to show genuine love for the child and through that to form a relationship of trust between the parent and child. However, just because a parent loves the child doesn't mean that that gets relayed to the child. The parent may have raised the child with much love, yet the child may begin to rebel as he gets older, sometimes leading to a broken relationship between them. We wonder why the child doesn't understand the parent, and search for that crucial ingredient for building a good relationship with our children. One of the most important elements for building that good relationship is sharing in wonder with them. What do we mean by that? Here is a practical example of sharing in wonder with your child.
